I am beyond happy to have stumbled across this post while looking around the parts of this board I have never been to before!! Thank you so much for posting this. Just wish I had seen this sooner! I have tried two different vets in Houston that I was completely disappointed with. When you walk into the clinic and vet tech says "oh, wow I've never seen a chinchilla in person before!" you need to run (not walk) out of that clinic immediately! And that was a vet that advertised experience with chins!

Sometimes I think she's a tad expensive, but then again, kidneybean probably lived quite a bit longer than expected due to Natalies good work. I have a good vet in San antonio (Universal City) if needed. Not exactly an exotics specialist, but good enough

We have actually ended up going to see Dr. Antinoff quite a bit and really love her!
Chloe had some trauma (we're not sure what happened) to her teeth and Dr. Antinoff was just fantastic with Chloe for all of the tooth trims. Chloe was as good as new and other than having to chew her apple sticks and hay with her back teeth for awhile, everything was perfect!
Sadly, last night Chloe passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. Dr. Antinoff was not on call but we rushed to the ER at Gulf Coast Vet anyway.
I am only posting this here to say that Dr. Antinoff = great. Not sure about other associates. Fantastic vets are golden. I only wish we could clone them so they could always be on call and there for us.

I am so sorry to hear about Chloe - sounds like she was dearly loved by her humans and well cared for. Now she's somewhere she can chew on anything she likes and it is always play time. Take good care of yourself during the grieving process.....
Also glad there is a fantastic chin vet in your world. Agreed - they are awesome.

Im so sorry. My baby and first chinchilla was also named Chloe. I still miss her very much. I'm sure that your Chloe is right next to you. Thank you for the recommendation. Hugs, Ann
